Whatever happens, happens for good
During the reign of Akbar his friend Birbal kept saying the statement "Whatever happens, happens for good". Birbal was a wise man and his wisdom was not always appreciate by other courts-men, until proved otherwise.
One day Akbar went for hunting and accidentally cut his fingers. After finding Akbar angry over his wounds, Birbal asserted that he should not be worried and everything that happens has a purpose behind it and whatever happens, happens for the good. Akbar became furious over the audacity shown by Birbal and ordered his men to imprison Birbal.
Some days later again, he went for hunting in forest and this time, to his misfortune, he was captured by some cannibal tribes. Tribal planned to offer him as a sacrifice to Goddess Kali, until the priests saw the wound on Akbar's finger. The priest then ordered the tribal to release him as they cannot offer a wounded sacrifice to Goddess.
Back home, Akbar realized the essence of Birbal's words and went to prison to release him. Akbar said sorry to him and asked that whatever happened to him was good, but how can Birbal justify his imprisonment as good?
To this Birbal replied, "My king! It was good for me that you did not take me along for hunting that day else I would have been a perfect sacrifice for the tribal".
